We don't hate anyone either Rick. I am a Vietnam Era Vet myself. I was never in country. I respect you for that. You are right about Iraq being another VietNam. The repukes are famous for war profiteering. Cheney and Halliburton are raiding our US Treasury big time with their no bid contracts. There is over 9 billion dollars missing right now from the Iraq contracts. Cutting Social programs and taking money away from Veterans like yourself and me and giving huge tax breaks to people making over 300,000 a year is wrong. I think we can both agree on that. They are trying to dismantle Social Security right now with these privatized accounts. Even the White House CBO says it will be cuts of up to 40 percent for people. Come on Rick, you know that's not right. We paid into SS our whole life and now they want to destroy the New Deal FDR set up. Iraq never attacked us either. Never. Osama Bin Laden is the bad guy. I agree, let's get him. Let's not steal the oil from Iraq. We invaded a country that never attacked us. That makes bush a war criminal Rick. We have killed over 100,000 innocent Iraqis. A lot of them were women and kids. They didn't do anything to us. I hope you're not one of those people that are blinded by the right. You're not a sheeple are you ? You can think for yourself. You don't have to do what fox news tell you you're supposed to do or think the way they tell you to either. You can have your own mind and speak out if you think someting is wrong. There is nothing more patriotic than dissent.The US flag belongs to everyone Rick, Everyone. We have free speech just like everyone else. We are still protected by the Constitution of the United States of America. It is for All Americans. All. 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis. Why did we invade the wrong country ? The bushes have business deals set up with the Saudis. We buy oil from them. That is trading with the enemy. All of the people here on DemocraticUnderground love the USA just as much as you. That is why we don't want to see our country destroyed in the name of corporate greed by these ultra right wing neocon facist nazi oil whores. God Bless America and fuck bush too. 1. Rick Roughneck isn't very specific

He acknowledges that Iraq is a fiasco on a par with Vietnam, admits that he's pretty screwed up because of his experience in that former case of American imperialism, has friends who are similarly messed up, but he "just dont like what you are doin."

What is it he "just dont like"? The fact that we don't want to screw up another generation of young people on a hopeless, expensive, wasteful (in so many ways) invasion?

They are dying for oil. You're right. How many bodies per gallon are we getting this week is what they should say.
