should be allowed to overrule her husband and leave it in?

Most people don't want certain things for themselves, unless they're in that 11% who are so death phobic they're close to insanity. However, they get a little soft and squishy on the idea when it applies to other people, especially people they have never met and will likely never meet.

That's when the "keep the tube" proportion rises to the 30% ballpark in the few polls I've seen.

Over a third don't think spousal rights supercede parent's wishes for an adult child? WTF is wrong with people? Parents do not have any legal rights over their children once the child is 18.
