Some time, read about the place. They cut down every last tree...which meant they couldn't build seaworthy boats...which meant they couldn't fish...which meant mass starvation.

I'd give it up in a minute if it'd save ANWR.

It won't.

I adamantly oppose the drilling, both because of it's effect on the environment, and because it's all a ploy by the Bush Administration to line their own pockets.

The problem isn't driving SUVs, per se. It's the corporate and governmental resistance to the development of alternative fuels.

Give me a realistic way to have my SUV and run it on an alternative fuel, I'd jump at the chance.
