Good lord I just saw the worst anti-drug commercial...
I was watching it at the gym with closed captioning so I could have not gotten some elements of it. But it was about some kind of community anti-drug programs and it showed a staged "anti-drug" party with pre-teens dancing and proclaiming how much better this party was than ones with drugs at them. And it had adults dancing crazily along with the kids and brightly colored streamers and balloons at the party.

Has anyone seen this? There was some agency listed that paid for the commercial and was obviously the organization that was being advocated. But I couldn't tell if it was a government agency or what.

Honestly, do the people who put this stuff together even KNOW any teenagers?

18 years as a children's services worker has led me to observe this phenomenon.

3. Nonsense. Come on out here and "Say 'Neigh' to Drugs!"
Seriously, courtesy of Koa, spokeshorse for the Honolulu PD's mounted unit:

Now there's a pile of horse hockey if I ever saw one! :-)

4. The one with the baseball player talking from the tv to the dad watching
that one kills me.

People on tv addressing you by name - what kind of drugs is that dad on?

That one was partnership for a drug free america, who continue to lie about marijuana, and probably other drugs as well.

Never see them do an ad against underage drinking tho...

And on another channel, the ads for zoloft and the like roll on.

7. are you kidding?
They can't ask kids because they won't like the answers.

They'd rather pretend that teenagers are overgrown six year olds and that kiddie parties with balloons and ice cream are da bomb.
