Any studies?

Do you ever think about the fuel for the shuttles between the U.S. and Iraq - all those execs, congresspeople, brass, media flying back and forth - all those meals and supplies - all those medical flights - and all those flights carrying enemy combatants to little countries and islands to be tortured and all those shuttles between Iraq and Qatar and Kuwait where the lucky people get to sleep. All those Humvees being blown up with a full tanks of gas.

With irony and resentment for the waste of an earth resource that affects all the lives of people all over the world...are there any think tanks or scholarly studies that explore the depletion of a limited commodity to war, specifically...this war?

1. Certainly, the Iraq war is a net oil loss.
I suspect any war in the Middle East oil producing regions is a net loss.
