13. It is a good story.

I am glad that the woman was able to save her life and the lives of any of this man's future victims. I don't care if she used an invisible god to do so or if believing in Jesus helped keep her calm. The best thing she did was keep her head and force the killer to see her as a person, not a victim. I can't imagine how the families of the man's prior victims feel. I guess 'god' wasn't with them. As always, the media is going into overkill with this story because American's eat this shit up. It fits right in with the concept that there are 'special' people god favors and fuck everyone else. I just detest this kind of mentality, and I detest that the smug ass fundies and rightwing asshole politicians are getting off on this. I can see my fundie mother going orgasmic over this story and I'm sure she'll mention it the next time we speak. <sigh*>
