Firehouse Subs' Corporate Office: TV's must show FoxNews or Sports
After the 30th consecutive time (at different locations in different parts of Florida, mind you) of going to Firehouse Subs and seeing FauxNews on all of the TV sets, I decided to ask the manager why.

He told me that their corporate office has decreed that all televisions in all locations must show FoxNews (specifically) or a sporting event at all times. During the busy lunch hour, the TV's are always on FoxNews.

Any research into the execs of this company? Any big GOP donors?

It would be a shame to have to boycott these guys...I sure love their sandwiches.

2. Here's your answer

It's only $14.99 and fits on your keychain.( You cankeep it in your pocket and no one will know why the tv keeps turning off)

Hangs on your keychain and turns off virtually any television!

DIRECTIONS for using your TV-B-GoneTM:

1. Point it at a TV set
2. Press the button (no need to hold the button down)
3. Keep pointing it at the TV until the TV turns off (which may take up to 69 seconds).

Tips on effective use of your TV-B-GoneTM:

Your TV-B-Gone remote control is very much like any other remote control but there are some differences that you should be aware of.

One difference is that there is no indicator light to tell you that it is on. The small, clear emitter node at the front will not light up or glow (actually, it does light up with infra-red light but you can't see it!).

Another difference is that your TV-B-GoneTM remote control is very small and weighs very little compared to most other remote controls. The batteries are also extremely small, but be assured that batteries (watch batteries) are included and already installed within the device!!!

Okay, just how cool is a watch with a built-in universal remote control? Well...pretty darn cool we think. Imagine the possibilities - you'll never lose your remote again; you can go to your neighborhood sports bar and take control of those big screen TVs; when visiting a friends house you can watch what you want to watch. Put the power that comes with having the remote right on your wrist!

3. Cute idea, but...
...FoxNews or not, I don't want to support a business that feels the need to blast their customers with right-wing propaganda. So turning the TV off doesn't get to the heart of the matter.

5. The parent company is...
... Firehouse Restaurant Group, and the top officers are Robin Sorenson, Kelly Harris and Stephen Joost.

And, like many restaurant franchisers, some of them like George Bush:

6. I'd find another place to eat
I don't care how good their food is. Pox would nauseate me beyond my ability to enjoy it.

Besides, I have a policy of not giving money to Nazi propagandists if there is any other alternative at all.

8. Go in, ask to see the manager
then tell him/her why you are no longer a customer. Tell them you like their food, but you prefer that they "hold the propaganda". Remind them that you plan to tell all your friends ...

Businesses usually like to remain neutral, and will show whatever a customer wants to see, unless other patrons complain..

or you could order, and before you pay, ask them to change the channel.. If they do not.. just cancel the order and walk out :)
