6. Marx didn't say that.
No maligning your point, and I admire Marx, but that quote is a lie.

8. It's a misquotation. Marx said:
"Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people."

A very different meaning.

9. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a Bible Beater, just

to name one recent and well-known example.

about what was right and what was wrong if religion didn't exist?

11. It's "bible thumpers". If you are going to use an undefined term,
use the right one.

13. Sigh. Just remember that the words of Jesus are of love and peace
Loving your neighbors, turning the other cheek, doing unto others as you would have done unto you, removing the plank out of your eye before trying to get the splinter out of someone else's.

The fundies and the zealots have all perverted the words of the Bible to fit what they want to believe and do - hate gays and murder people different from themselves.

They do not follow Christ or His teachings. I am ashamed at what they have done in the name of "religion" as it paints all of us with the same brush in some people's eyes.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Somehow that got twisted into "God hates fags and non-Christians."

Sigh.
