Funny - Judy Woodruff makes a fool of herself in Kerry Interview!

Judy Woodruff asked if Kerry finds it discouraging that it has been over 100 years since anyone had lost the election for the Presidency and come back later to win - and it was Grover Cleveland in 1892.

Kerry looked puzzled and said "I don't know what you are talking about - Didn't Nixon lose the Presidential election and later win?"

Woodruff is speechless and clearly confused and she repeats the question very slowly trying to figure out what is going on. Then in a big hurry she said "4 years later - I forgot to add 4 years later - I forgot that part."

I think they should have left Cleveland out of it anyway because he was actually President when he lost REelection. He was first elected in 1884. In 1888 he was defeated, winning the popular vote but losing the electoral vote. Then he was elected again in 1892. He was the only President to serve two terms - 4 years apart. His situation and Kerry's don't seem all that similar.
