How much Highschool bullshit extends into our adult lives?
Jocks, being popular, cheerleaders, nerds, brown nosers, hall monitors, snitches, teacher's pets, studs, sluts, druggies, narcs, ugly kids, beautiful kids, mean kids, punks, good kids, bullies, the oppressed, math wizzes, poor students, the gay kids, rich students, good learners, bad learners, the disabled kids, drop outs, straight A's versus straight F's.

bush is the well born jock redneck asshole who always took advantage of his rich and well connected daddy, like his daddy before him, kkkarl rove is the kid who always got his head dipped in the toilet by the mean jocks, and takes his revenge out on all of us.

sometimes it seems like highschool is the basis for our whole lives.
all divided into neat little groups and classes, all treated in a specific way, and all destined to forever continue highschool in real life.

a principal, the teachers, the counselors, the popular attractive types, dominating the unpopular, less beautiful types. groups, cliques, gangs, rebels and sheep.

i wish the fucking bell would ring and vacation would start.

9. Well, with the exception of Trig.
I never use it, at least, not where I have to calculate it mathematically. Never comes up.

2. I think you have hit it on the head
Most of the people running our govt. act like the boys going in to high school and the silly girls willing to do anything to be liked by the same.

3. It's up to you
How much?

As much as you choose. Nobody ever took that power to choose away from you.

If you haven't been satisfied with the way you seem to have internalized high school dynamics, today is as good as any to start the process of change.

What do you choose?

4. heh "i wish the fucking bell would ring and vacation would start"
my feelings exactly.

when i was a youngster i had a sort of epiphany. i was asking myself why people can't sort things out and just get along, that is when i realised that adults are just grown up (big) children, at the time it really opened my eyes to in ability of humans to move past their basic hangups for the good of all. i think it is mostly due to ignorance and just a general lack of understanding.

5. I have said the same thing many times.
Jobs are usually just like high school - the popular ones, the ostracized ones, the gossip, etc. I had hoped as adults we would know better but apparently we don't.

7. Yep its the same crap.
I had this sort of dream growing up that as the smart nerd if I hung in there long enough my reward would be given to me in the real world. Now as far as socially it has I have a great family and son but career wise no.

Who was the most popular at your school? For mine it was that good athletic jock who also had a touch of smarts, and if he/she was good looking too boot then look out. Now if I examine promotions in both my department and others I see a couple of glaring points.

If your a woman who is a size 6 or less, preferably blond you will be promoted somehow magically into spots it took 'normal women' 20+ years to obtain. If your a man and play golf and are 6 foot tall, same story. Now the theory would be you would want to promote a hard worker.. nope thats a bad idea, the best thing to do is to keep the hardworker in the trenches.

In hindsight, highschool and college were actually in many ways more fair then the real world. In school you had tests and no matter how popular or unpopular you were or how skinny or fat you were etc you all got measured by that test.

In the real world you will see how getting an 'A' will get you a minimum raise and being a goof off popular/attractive person will get you that big money.

11. Rove was more likely
the nasty little monster who burned ants with magnifying glasses and mutilated other animals for fun. In fact, B*sh and Rummy and Cheney were probably all like that.

12. Well, you see a lot of High School antics on the internet
like internet message boards devoted to "moling" other internet message boards because of some perceived rivalry making the initiating message board feel somehow "superior" to the "popular kids" at the web site they "mole".
