Vermont makes NCAA Tourney, I hope Dean attends

Wermont made the NCAA Basketball Tournament and I think Howard Dean should attend the game. Remember when Bill Clinton went to the Arkansas NCAA tournament games. Clinton was all over TV. Arkansas was really good when Clinton attended, Vermont isn't that good, but are a much smaller school.

It would be a smaller stage, but it would still be some good publicity. Dean isn't president, but he is a political celebrity (I think I made up a word!) and could get some airtime. It would humanize him and the Democratic party.

I guess it could backfire, if they put a microphone on Dean and catch him cheering really loudly.

I can just picture it, "We're gonna beat Syracuse, and Michigan St., and Duke, and Gonzaga them we're gonna go to St Louis and beat Wake Forset and Illinois and then we're going to win the championship YYYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

3. Syracuse isn't that scary

It wasn't that long ago that Syracuse was known as one of the top teams that would flame out early every year. All of the TV heads love Vermont, so they might have a chance to move on. And if Dean was there screaming them onto St. Louis they could teh Cinderellas of the tourney.
