Count the "Bush looks zoned out..." threads as the lamest/worst of DU
Easily the most useless use of bandwith on the net and I wish the mods would start locking them.

2. I always enjoy them
If you don't like them, why not use the "hide thread" feature?

...the middle of a good and rationale discussions, or if their is a bit of GOOD news (for Democrats), we are getting these people that have less than 100 posts, and they just seem to want to cause trouble.

It seems to have become more of a problem lately. What I'm saying, is that it could be a related issue.

9. I noticed that there were all kinds of people coming out on Friday after
the shootings in Atlanta...a team of them that appeared to me to be present to contain the anti-gun talk. Maybe it was just my imagination.

13. my feet hurt
This was a line from a topic yesterday about people posting stupid little innocuous messages like that to get their counts up so they could start topics and get taken more seriously by having a higher post it count.

10. I agree with you
The personal appearance threads are ridiculous in their quantity.

With so many more important things to criticize them about, the personal appearance threads should be far less common.

I don't necessarily think they're distruptive enough to lock, but I'd discourage members from constantly posting them.

15. So who gets to decide what are the more important things to criticize?
The best sign that a thread isn't of interest to anybody is when it draws absolutely no response, and then it drops away. It's pretty much self-selecting. I hang out in the Lobby. so I see the latest threads from all the forums, and I see plenty of thread titles that make me roll my eyes and say ewwww, or oh brother. Even when there's a plethora of inane copycat threads, all it means is I have to do a little more scrolling to get to threads that might interest me.
