May we call them fascists NOW?
the following is from
http://thepeskyfly.blogspot.com/2005/03/may-we-call-them-fascists-now.html

(((Evidently, before coming to a city to bamboozle the residents with his SS message, businesses are phoned by agents and told not to display any signs critical of *....Where has our First Amendment gone, oh where oh where can it be?)))

"May we call them fascists NOW?

I just spoke with a barrista at Empire Coffee (the old Map Room at the corner of Madison & Main). On Thursday Empire was contacted by someone who claimed to be a "federal agent" and told that they were not allowed to display any signs critical of President Bush or his plans to dismantle Social Security. Empire posted a sign saying--and this is a paraphrase--- "We have been informed that we aren't allowed to display signs critical of Bush. We would like to remind the authorities that the First Amendment also applies in Memphis."

2. aroseisarose
It doesn't matter what you call them.

You could call them Republicans, and they'd still be corporo-fascists.

6. Wow! We need to put some journalists on this story
NYT & WaPo have both recently run stories about the fake town hall meetings. Now they need to look at the abuse heaped on citizens where Bush visits. I experienced this myself during the RNC. Now it seems other states are getting a taste of it. Tastes like chicken.

7. Yes. BFEE= what our US WWII veterans fought against.
Fascist and militarist empire. But the support for the RW extreme has always been here.

The Ghost of Adolph Hitler: Nazi Influence in America

It only got worse after Nazi war criminals were clandestinely "recruited" and given identities and jobs as Americans battling godless communism working in national security.

Ratlines: The CIA and the Nazis

Russ Bellant documented how a lot of these real Nazis and Nazi partisans, their families, friends and entire social networks found a political home in the RW of The Republican Party.

So, yes, it's ok to call the neo-conservative dominated BFEE crew fascists.

Actually since Bush & co use security on his trips as excuses to quash free speech we should take note and have truckloads of signs to hand out in ever town he visit. There should be a Democratic advance team in each town Bush appears in to put out the signs the night before bush arrives (around 2AM). That way all the signs get out and the Secret Service learn to do their jobs and to leave politics out of it.

I think we have to consider that anything Bush & rovbots try to suppress is something worth doubling our efforts on.
