1. More professional artwork from our freeper friends. You would think
that Fox News would have a graphic & photoshop program rather than scissors?

2. Struck me as quite representative of the betrayal
that took place a couple of days ago with the passage of S.256 (the Bankruptcy Reform Bill).

There hasn't been a single justification offered worth noting for any of those Democratic "yes" votes...because there is no justification.

If it makes you feel uncomfortable, good. There have been too many trade-offs made since 2000. People, innocent people, are dead because of some phony spirit of bipartisanship, and now many more will be destitute.

It by God oughta make you uncomfortable.

And I ain't no goddamned freeper.

3. I don't know the details of the bill. That is my problem. Do you have
any?

4. Josh Marshall had a good discussion ongoing throughout.
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/bankruptcy/

If that doesn't suit, click "Search", type in keyword "bankruptcy", select "thread title only", and read some of the more than one hundred threads here on DU about it.

5. In what sense is the photo "freeper"ish?
Why does this represent what Fox news might say?

Elaborate!

6. I'm hoping it's because of the lack of quality
and not the sentiment.

What can I say? I'm an mechanic, not a graphic designer.

I've had the "birdcage" picture for a while, I found a bunch of headshots of the Senators who voted against the vast majority of their constituents' wishes, and I had some time and a lot of resentment to kill.

"Preciate yor sticking up for me! :)

8. I meant both. I get very worried that when we attack our own that we
will just chase them into the waiting neocon arms.

Heartbreaking to watch. Democrats used to be a big tent. And we have to fight the awful ones using our empathy.

I was hurt to see us making caricatures of our own Democratic Members. To me it means that we are learning how to behave from the freepers.

I'm sorry - if I have not been following the bankruptcy debate I should keep my mouth shut I admit.

9. "I'm sorry - if I have not been following the bankruptcy debate..."
Whoa! 2000 posts in a month...you might pause to listen now and again.
Between the petitions, the phone call requests, and all the other calls to action here opposing this bill if you completely missed it then you just weren't paying attention.
S.256 was a landmark screwing and far too many of the yes votes came from our side.
There's no tent big enough to cover what happened.

14. Bankruptcy was once thing I skipped over completely...saying to
myself I do not have the energy for one more heartbreaker... I had too much on my slate already.

I have since read up on the bankruptcy law and see it as a bad thing of course. I try and look at this stuff by taking a few steps back. Bankruptcy is something that can be changed back quickly under a Democratic regime (it is not as if Bush & co. are restructuring accounting laws anytime soon). I guess I am just pulling my punches so as to conserve strength for the most important fights and perhaps I assume that is what some Democrats are doing... along with kissing the feet of their masters (& yes I think campaign finance needs some big changes...so that this revolution of corporations thinking they have a right restructure human worlds in their image only gets beaten back some day).

The Senators are in the structure they are in. They didn't invent it. Perhaps they hope to build human outrage with their actions(I can dream can't I). I just have hope and want to see the team stay together under what we are: a big tent.

Wouldn't it just be horrid if all the Israeli Hawks felt they owed Bush a deal of loyalty for the rest of their lives? I mean I can see them having much in common now that peace in Palestine & Israel may happen. But what if Bush & rovbots succeed in more 'structural change'? What if New York begins to vote for Conservatives?

I -like you - am just afraid. I have experience with sociopath and really it is a machine that will just take more, and more, and more out of your life as you cut your losses. And it never rests (the perpetual campaign). Why would Karl Rove not use Arafat's death and the sudden support for democracy in the Mid East as tools to restructure the American Political Sphere one more time?

I worry that you assume we have suffered all the losses we are going to suffer as Democrats. The losses do not end until you get the sociopath out of control over your life.

18. "I -like you - am just afraid..." That's not entirely accurate.

I'm worried some, yes. For my daughter and other youngsters, not for me. We adults who've been doing all the voting (or neglecting our vote, as the case may be) are the ones to blame for this mess we're in when you get right down to it, and we don't have time for shivering in the corner.
I liked America the way it was, and I helped let it get away.
Now I'm helping to get it back by whatever means necessary.
She won't stand the way she's going, because a lot of the world is flat fed up with her as well as half her citizens.
You can only go so far with a bucket o' money and a big-assed army.
Eventually your ideas need to win, and if my reps side with the bad-idea people?
Well, I'll never vote for a repuke, but I will work to replace my faulty reps.
I am frankly fed up.

10. Like this?
:D

"To me it means that we are learning how to behave from the freepers." - No, it means some of us with artistic proclivity use it to peel back many layers of BS to get to the truth.

The pic I made of Lieberman shows what he really is: an alien lizard and member of the Reptilian Cabal. Don't you see his Likud Lizard buddies behind to him? :D

11. Even Lizard Lieberman vote against the new bankruptcy bill
That should tell you how bad the bill is. Either that or Lieberman didn't get his bribe from the Credit Card/Banking industry.

16. Bwaaaaahahahahaha!
Your pic didn't show up yesterday...I just got the red 'X'.
That's great! :7

Lieberman got an "attaboy" for voting 'No' on S.256, but he got an "aw shit" for voting 'Yes' on cloture and anyone can tell you that one "aw shit" wipes out a hundred "attaboys".

13. Heck, I liked the picture!
At one time (like two months ago) I would have agreed we shouldn't go around attacking Democrats. However, that was when the Democrats didn't make decisions that do NOTHING but fatten the pockets of big businesses at the expense of desperate people.

There's no election anytime soon. Plenty of time for Team Spirit later on. We should feel free to call them like we see them, in my opinion. If you feel betrayed... that's legit.

(Don't let critics stop your political photoshopping! It livens up the board!!)
