these are the end times george, you know what i mean, the rapture dude, Jesus is coming back, the time of tribulation is at hand, the wheat shall be separated from the chaff, Gabriel will blow his horn, and the righteous will take to the air with wings to join God in his holy temple, and well, you know the story.

and on that glorious day we will all be judged and assigned eternally to level 1, or level 0 george, plumbers as well as presidents, the pious and the pompous, the rich and the poor.

now i personally fully expect eternal reward, simply because i've obeyed almost all the rules, with some slight backsliding, but i fall into the 'basically a good guy' category, of which paradise will surely have in abundance.

but you george, i don't know. you may not want to be around on rapture day, cause you've broken some of the more weighty rules, and with great zeal. the Lord can overlook a few minor things, reckless youth, desertion of duty, etc., but you seem to have left a long trail of dead people in your wake. that's not going to sit well with the messiah.

i would suggest that you hide all the dead bodies george, but there are so many. 3,000 in n.y.c., hundreds of thousands in iraq and afghanistan, did you not see that particular 'shalt not'?

but on the day of atonement george, you can't hide anything anymore.
Jesus will see all the stolen money george, he'll see all the lies and he'll see all those burnt children, bullet riddled mothers, tortured innocents, raped kids, blasted mosques, dead soldiers, crippled soldiers, armless boys, motherless girls, and he's going to be so pissed.

especially at the way you used His Holy Name as an excuse for all the evil shit you did. i'm glad i'm one of the good guys george, and i'm damned glad i'm not you.

3. I do hope you understand

that when all the facts are gathered, there is absolutely no mention of or evidence for a "rapture". (in the Bible)

It seems "heaven" was not a good enough escape hatch, so in the early 19th century some religious fanatics came up with the idea of "rapture".

It won't happen.

Can we expel this belief rather than propagate it?
