Can anyone with more than half a brain cell still endorse Shrub's poodle being given this gong? The UK government's spin machine has recently toned down this story, and gone soft on reports earlier in the summer that Dumbo is going to make a full ceremonial state visit to the UK in October, with the juicy possibility of being made a Knight of the Order of the Garter as the cherry on top of the icing. (I guess it must be Charles Manson or General Pinochet first......)

I can't imagine Blair accepting this thing in public as Great Leader Bush is not exactly popular in the UK and reminding people that Blair is the US's lap dog won't do anything to boost his popularity.
