Specifically, was the more-and-more-apparent fact that the content of the memo has not been disproved brought up? Did someone give a thoughtful analysis which pointed out how it was only the form of the memo which was in question and not the substance?

in which Dan states he is proud of the fact he never backed down. Good for him. He did say he thinks about it costing people their jobs.

As he stated, "Courage" was his trademark signoff years ago, like Cronkite's "and that's the way it is" or Ellerbe's "and so it goes"

Personally, I listened to his signoff twice and didn't hear any hints of doom; just an acknowledgement that it's been a tough few years.
