Rapture Ready Crowd Upset At Gays "Desecrating" Israel
Biggest bunch of biggots and religious lunatics EVER on this site. Check out their "outrage" at the idea of gays travelling to Jeruselum.

http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?t=190578

You know what, this country has a tradition of wacko religious cults -- from the earliest days, witch burnings, to all the revivalists etc., these BushCo X-tians are truly right up there with them....sheesh!!

1. PS, Who Can We Report Them To?
"The Jerusalem Prayer Team is a non-profit organization with 501c3 tax exempt status. The Jerusalem Prayer Team is a prayer movement of people around the world. It is a non-denominational organization. It receives no support from the Nation of Israel. Donations are tax deductible."

Um....that can't be right, CAN IT??

2. All of a sudden, they're worried about what MUSLIMS think?!
And what they think this Gay Pride Day thing?

:wow:

Can you spell hypocritical? I knew that you, coul... well, Bush supporters may not be able to.

(For what it's worth, I'd say the Muslims have too much ShrubCo.=death on their hands to worry about Gay Pride Day or whatever).

5. No They Don't....They Don't Know Much Of ANYTHING
"To have more than 100,000 homosexuals flaunting such decadent behavior in this tiny, holy city where heaven and earth met, and will meet again, is outrageous! They plan to fill the hotels and restaurants, and party like Sodomites, while the world press takes pictures."

4. They don't seem to be terribly hateful...
Just ignorant.

I love the one fellow who says, "Some people will never read the Bible..."

As if he read the whole thing and not just the parts that support his opinions.

How come the 'Rapture' is never mentioned in the OT?

6. "Join our fight to stop this desecration of Jerusalem!"
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 02:23 AM by Bluebear
Just read the first paragraph and that exhortation lept out at me. I dunno, sounds pretty hateful to me!

"They plan to fill the hotels and restaurants, and party like Sodomites!"

I don't know where they expect people to eat or sleep....and why is these people thing all gay people do is "party"?

"It is disgusting to me how often the word "love" was mentioned in that gay pride article.
Satan sure does try to sugar-coat sin by using choice words to label things."

Yeah, those damn gays mentioning love. How dare they.

9. Perhaps some comments were added after your post:
At what point does it become "terribly hateful?" See one of the posts below:

I imagine that will go over real big with the Muslims. They won't hesitate to mow them all down, especially if it looks anything like Gay Pride Day with guys in speedos, boas and heels.

10. OFF TOPIC
Check your PM!

ON topic...these people are nuts! There is no rhyme, nor reason to their madness. They love the fact they are supposed to have this great afterlife, but are the most fearful people I ever met when it comes to death! So confusing!

13. True.
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 02:50 AM by purduejake
I agree they are the most fearful when it comes to death. I just hope their death brings understanding and freedom from all of the self-imposed restrictions that keep these people from accepting and celebrating diversity.

edit: I didn't understand what PM meant and took that question out, etc.

24. Indeed, upon re-reading I see that they do deeply wish
for the death of innocent people.

When I was 17, I was a "born-again" Christian.

I came to realize that it was merely a way to avoid reality.
I really felt sorry for everyone who wasn't 'saved' as I was.
I was on constant lookout for the signs of the prophecies.
It was the epitome of arrogance.
I outgrew it.

But at the time... I Wanted it to happen. I wanted The Great Tribulation to unfold before me so I could be taken up in the air to avoid death.
I even fantasized about God leaving me on earth to carry out some divine mission.

While I may yet have a divine mission, to think that it should involve the destruction of the world is so beyond megalomaniacal it can be classified as infantile.

They want it to happen.
They WANT everyone who does not agree with them to perish in fire and burn for eternity.
This type of hatred which masquerades as 'love' and 'compassion' is utter hypocrisy.

Indeed they are the ones who must depart so the adults can help heal the world.

17. Not mentioned in the NT, either. Guess that guy better read his own bible.
The Rapture was invented in the 1800s by a guy named John Darby.

11. This just makes me want to...
go there and dress like a woman and "flaunt" my homosexuality. However, I think most of us at pride events go to have fun and feel safe in numbers... not out of concern of sending any message to the bigots. In fact, when I was at Atlanta Pride in summer 2004, it seems that peoples' only thoughts were meeting new people (for many different reasons), dining on great food, shopping, and deciding on what bar to go to that night. Why is it that just being ourselves is so damned offensive? Bring the fucking rapture on and get them the hell outta here.

18. I would think the Southern Poverty Law Center
would be interested in this group, though they certainly have their hands full already.

I noticed that their domain is registered with Network Solutions, a company which is not considered to be a good 'internet citizen' because they don't support domain ownership lookup. Only god can find them.

Does anyone know of a group that monitors and reports publicly on the radical christian clerics in the US? What an awful job. I'm not volunteering for that one.
