Jon held his own though, he was actually pretty tough on Williams.

Anyway, Brian Williams is every thing I hate about journalism roled into one, and he works for GE.

He's just gross and he looks like the type of guy that has to worry about getting VD.

5. Actually, he has been hilarious on TDS

I have NEVER watched the guy on NBC. While I "monitor" news broadcasts, i never had the stomach to watch brokaw. Williams looked like a corporate dork. When I heard he was going to be on the Daily show -- some weeks or months ago, i thought, boy, Mr White Bread Boy is going to be boring as mud.

i was astonished that he had a tremendous wit, and was so outrageously funny that he gave Jon Stewart a run for his money as to who was the comic and who was the straight man. He was totally off the wall and hilarious and it was a memorable show. I was astonished that someone as stiff as an anchor would perform comedy so superbly in a format like that -- it ain't easy! Going up against guns like Jon Stewart? You have to be *good*.

I thought he did a good job defending himself against the mockery TDS made of him a week earlier. It was a good blend of correcting facts and just being silly about the whole matter.

I still don't know if I have the stomach to ever check out NBC, but to the people who had good reasons to be skeptical about his appearance, IMHO you missed two hilarious episodes.

The US would not be in the trouble it is in now, if people like Rather, Brokaw, and Jennings had given us the truth in 2000 instead of bowing to their corporate masters.

14. Last night's episode.

He was really funny last night on the Daily Show. That interview was much better than the normal political stuff they have had lately. I don't watch news (other than Daily Show) so I don't know what he is like elsewhere.

enough for me. There are a number of news-readers for whom getting the right camera angle is paramount. I think Nora O'Donnell is another one who seems to be more concerned abot the camera getting their "good" side tha nanything else. I really think they should stop calling themselves journalists.
