we need to start serious discussion in the mainstream
and inudate our representatives with requests to start impeachment proceedings against Bush. This has gone on long enough. They have no respect for our constitution or the rule of law. They have ignored federal judges ruling against their detainment policies. They took us to war under false pretenses. They have committed atrocities through our military and the shield of the war on terror that makes our signing of the Geneva convention a joke. They have leaked the ID of a CIA agent. Nixon didn't break into the Watergate himself. There used to be a time when our chief executive was responsible for the people in his administration. On the simple basis of * reneging on treaties we have signed should be an impeachable offense. How can we hold these people accountable for making our country a pariah in the world?

1. We can't.. they control everything
You think a Republican congress is going to impeach Bush? 2006 will be the soonest we even have a shot at it, hopefully we all live that long.. There is always a small flickering light though, I just saw on Crooks and Liars that there is going to be another major 9/11 story released tommorow. I'm sure the MSM will jump right on it :eyes:

3. then when we're left with no other options to save our country
who is going to step up? We know the path this mess leads to folks. I'm willing to give my life for my country and that's all I've got to say about that.

7. Edging on that DU rule. There may be a need to apologize to
the NRA in our future.

9. We all have to step up..
I wish it were the 1700's and we could start a real revolution. That's just not feasable in this day and age. So we do whatever we can, we scream, and yell, and protest, and send letters and e-mails and we keep doing it till the tide turns or we die trying....

11. We need a unified front
Move-on, true majority, UCPJ, etc., etc. etc. - all have their own adgendas and events.

The neo-cons have a unified front. Have you ever listened to a day of talk radio? They ALL talk about the same damn thing, all day long.

We need to start small, like a ribbon or Bumper Sticker of our own so that we can see the group build. It seems imposible now to get people into the streets - think Ohio after the election, but the only structure that we had were these grass-roots groups.

We need a NATIONAL MOVEMENT. All of these big groups need to get together and show solidarity and unity of purpose.

If we had a single, easy to understand statement of purpose that we could all get behind and a way to identify each other that would be a start.

It's all about NUMBERS. People feel safe in a group.

2. We are not allowed in the mainstream. The fundies do their
full immersion baptisms there. We are over on the left bank with John Kerry and the majority of the electorate who voted from him and had their votes switched, stolen or disappeared.

8. the only good thing is the gratutious pleasure I will get from
watching the fundies and their figureheads implode, whore by whore.

Just wait and watch, it's inevitable. What's gotten up usually gets brought down.

This is the thing, my mom said her preacher went to some conference the other week and he came back and told the church that so many preachers and other guys at the place admitted they were having a terrible time with addiction to internet pornography. The truth is out there, people, we are just going to have to take them down one stone at a time.

4. Yes, where are those brave military men who
are allowed to arrest the President?? WHERE ARE THEY?? Sherman Sklonick speculates they are ready to arrest him for treason, but I would not hold my breath on what Sklonick says, but there has got to be something in our constitution where the military can have him removed. Forget impeachment - arrest/treason!

5. Well, that will be easy enough
The man just won re-election and the Repubs control both sides of Congress.

Impeachment should be a cinch under those circumstances.

6. This should be the Democrats agenda (by priority):
1. Voter-verified balloting in all districts.
2. Win the House back in 2006 by campaigning openly about the possibility of impeachment.
3. Impeach Bush.

Every other issue should be back-burner right now.

13. Agreed, but...
The fact of the matter is that without the House, the impeachment dialogue will never get started.

The odds of expelling Bush from office are slim, but taking shots at his "Teflon Don" status and pulling him to the mat will help. Image is very important to these people...much more so than facts.
