I feel like all I do is go on here and gripe and moan. I'm literally sick to my stomach over everything that's happening.

and all your troubles will wash away..

Marx was wrong.

TELEVISION is the opiate of the masses.

When Americans get bored, rather than actually thinking...or reading about what is happening in the world, they veg out on the couch and watch reruns of Seinfeld.

2. I can't stand that Bush might get credit for "democracy" in the...
middle east. :argh: The man lies about the reasons to go into war, and now the mediawhores are repeating the propaganda line that "Bush is responsible for democracy"! :wtf:? Bush has destabilzed the ME!

:argh:

3. Can you imagine yourself without..................
these like minded individuals to commiserate with? I can't. A few months after bush stole his first election, I found a link here from a site named, "Unknown News". I couldn't believe it. It was as if my forlorn attitude wasn't just a aberration, there were other who felt the same way, I wasn't alone
Thank your lucky stars DU IS here, I can't imagine going through the present political climate without it.

4. All I've known so far to do
is write Letters to the Editor, which I've done a ton of and surprisingly, they've printed about half of them. Talk, talk, talk, talk and educate, protest, and then learn to be at peace with the fact that you are one who sees through the BS and that there is perfection in everything. Best advice I've got.

5. Here's what I'm doing:
On my word processor, I typed in our two Senators and our Rep, their DC phone numbers and their local phone numbers, IN NICE LARGE PRINT. I copied them over so they are on each page four times. Then I cut out the little 5x4 sections.

I keep a huge stash in my pocket.

Along comes Santorums bankruptcy amendment, and the bill itself. I tell people at work the details. They get pissed. I pass them a paper and ask them to call. Two days later I ask if they called and pass them another paper.
I stop in at Sheetz. I ask the clerk if she wants to work 50 hours for overtime. She says hell no. I tell her what is up and I pass her a paper.

I go to a local dept store and do the same thing.

If you hit the same people with this all the time, two things will happen:
Next election, they will know why they aren't voting the same jackasses in, and they will tell their friends that too.
After awhile, when they see you, they will ask you Hey what is going on now? (or they will run and hide!!)

10. I like it, but. . .
that would be great if votes counted anymore. It seems that everyone has forgotten the fact that the Repugs have perfected the stealing of the vote. Those people can go ahead and vote for the Dem. but I doubt it will count. I'll continue to vote just because. I can't bring myself to drop out.

8. We should protest in front of the White House
and force this regime to step down. With some type of flags waving, and singing, and cheering, and all that good stuff. Stand out there for days at a time, live in tent cities.

Done laughing yet?

Alright, seriously. What can we do? Nothing. Our election is over and done with. This administration doesn't give a damn, a rats ass, or a flying fuck, about protests. Especially from tree hugging hippee commie's.

Maybe you can call people in Congress, and if enough Republicans feel that their job could be in trouble in 2006, maybe something could be done. But with corporations in control, and the turnover rate in Congress virtually zero(especially when DeLay likes to reshape the landscape in his own image) that's tough to count on.

11. Evil and Greed over came Righteousness for the People
We got fucked but good... they got the power, the positions, the money...and even then we thought Sanity and Reason had a chance...

no dice.... only if we gather en masse shall we have an op to pull it off. They are esconced in the absconding position and will gather the nectar while we work over time for straight pay.... we had the op but blew it...

9. it upsets me that we don't know and that our leaders aren't telling us.
I really don't think they have their finger on the pulse of reality, Dean/Reid or no.

The only thing that I can think that we MUST do is get involved with our local boards of elections and monitor them extremely closely. This is where our battles are being fought, not in papers or in congress, because we are outnumbered by illiterates.

I need to take my own advice. When I went up there to get the preliminary results in Nov the woman up there was very helpful and forthcoming.

Of course I am a devout disciple of the school of the stolen election, so this colors my viewpoint. I'm just aghast that dem leaders aren't leading a drive to get us all out to our BOEs and let them know they are going to have to work their hineys off if they are going to break the laws from here on out. I firmly believe John Kerry won this election, and I also believe we will NEVER have the turn-out that we had this year, so each battle from here on out will be a hard fight for us and a much easier steal for the nazis.

12. We could do something, but it would be inconvenient.
Fer instance, we could refuse to pay our taxes. We could tell OUR representatives no taxation without representation, and if they want our taxes they have to stop representing corporations and represent people. How? Easy. Fully fund elections and use our airwaves. Make bribery illegal again.

That would clear up a lot of this shit in a hurry.

But no one will make a move until we're coordinated and we can't coordinate because we don't have a voice in the corporate media and movements get hijacked.

So, in short, we're screwed.
