Condom Toss Gets Student Tossed Out Of School
http://www.newschannel9.com/engine.pl?station=wtvc&id=659&template=breakout_story1.shtml

A prank pulled by a Red Bank High senior has resulted in a ten day suspension from school.
Josh Eustice says he was trying to educate his classmates about having safe sex.
But his actions angered school officials.
The senior was modeling tuxedos for Red Bank's upcoming prom.
As he walked off stage at the packed gym assembly last Friday, he tossed out condoms to his classmates.
He was in trouble before he got off the stage.

1. Eh.
Back in the 80s, that would not have warranted a 10 day suspension from school.

8. After the Today Show bleeped the word "crack" - Hillary Swank
said she knew where hers was in that backless dress - I'm thinking we've slipped into Bizarro World.

Subject: Let the punishment fit WHAT crime, regarding Josh Eustice

Mr. Kelley,

I read about Josh Eustice throwing condoms out at a gym assembly and
incurring a 10 day suspension. This is a ridiculous reprisal for what he did. I do not understand why he got any suspension for simply tossing condoms. Suspensions are for flagrant disregard of the basic rules of not hurting people or things. While you might have suffered some embarrasment at the idea of highschoolers having sex, giving out condoms does not hurt anyone and might lead to someone not catching an STD, AIDS or getting pregnant. I understand that you as principal cannot sanction sex amongst your students, but giving this boy a 10 day suspension for providing condoms to his classmates is ridiculous. I strongly object to this action and ask
that you reconsider the appropriateness of this punishment for a prank that hurt no one. TJosh's action is something you should be proud of, not punish.

Sincerely,
uppityperson, mother
