Latest zogby poll questions
I have gotten a few zogby polls to do online. Some of the questions seem good and some a bit weird (like the ones in Feb about Valentines gifts). Today has one that makes me think this is not truly the Zogby poll but some imitation. Did anyone else get this or is anyone able to shed light on this for me? Thanks

14. That was my problem with a bunch of them
So which should I answer, not sure or refused? Poor wording. Have you stopped beating your dog yet? Maybe they have JimmyJeff writing these (assuming that he can actually write and not just plagiarize, nevermind, this is not the place to rant about that).

5. This one also asked about actors
Who would play Mr.bush, Kerry, me in a movie, who I would let babysit, who would stop and change a flat tire. But several of the questions left no way for me to answer except "refused" but to the slant of them. Weird. Still not sure this is the real zogby polls, but feel better if other DUers get these too.

9. This is the really scary one:
"52. Members of Congress and federal employees may assign 15% of their salaries in the Federal Employee Retirement Systems that allows them to direct their contributions into a variety of investment plans. Do you agree or disagree that this sort of option should be available to all taxpayers when they pay into the Social Security system?"

"This sort of option," ho ho ho. Tells me they're looking to reframe the private accounts into "Look! We're letting you in on the goody train that Congress rides!" Fat chance.

11. I'd love to have that option.
I hate having to pay Social Security tax. I wish I still had a government job so that I wouldn't have to waste my money on an investment that I can't leave to leave to my children and that has a crappy rate of return. Social Security just sucks, but I don't know of a better solution, so I have to support what we have now. I would love to have the ability to opt out, but then who would pay for the people now in the system? See, it's a catch-22. If we leave, we probably end up in better shape, but at the expense of others...and that just ain't right.

15. I just answered that Zogby poll too
I put "cutting the budget deficit." I think all the questions about the movie stars had to be about how these mostly activist personalities are perceived by the public. But, I answered "not sure/none" on all of those questions.

17. Zogby International does market research for paying clients
...including retail and service industries, media, non-profits, public sector and political clients. They ask a range of questions that represent their clients' interests.

By participating in the polls you are providing free consumer research. You aren't being paid as you would be if, for example, you participated in a focus group.

If you want to offer your opinion on political issues but don't want to participate in other kinds of consumer research, check 'refused' on all the other questions. That's your right to do. :hi:
