Guess who is coming to Memphis
Chimpy the hairless ape is coming to Memphis to preach about the rape and pillaging of the poor and elderly in this country. I guess I will have to go and see him. Anybody care to you me?

2. A bit far to travel, but I can tell you what I hope will happen...
and that is disruptive and dispersed protest.

My thinking, especially after Mainz and Brussels, is that any 'ordinary' march or demonstration will be ignored. After all, more people have protested Bush and his policies worldwide than any other President. Little good it's done in effectively tempering the administration’s actions. In NJ and elsewhere the most innocuous, distant protest was met with repression, as were those at NYC during the convention.

During the Nixon administration, he was met with disruptive, but non-violent, protests in each and every city he visited for years. Eventually he had to limit his travel and that certainly decreased his credibility and effectiveness. That's one thing that comes to mind.

Maybe it’s time for some brainstorming on tactics. Any ideas?
