1. I Like That!
Maybe a real Francophone could weigh in on this. I was guessing something like conservateur-nouveau, but the syntax probably sucks.

I know a little French, but mostly unfamiliar with French jargon or idioms (that's IDIOMS...NOT idiots :7).

4. The French word "con"
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 01:52 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
I believe it is a somewhat old-fashioned word that specifically means a part of the female reproductive anatomy. You find the word used over and over again to describe that part of a woman's body in the writings of the Marquis de Sade. But in modern times, it has come to mean something roughly similar to "stupid jerk off", "idiot", "dumb-ass", and the like. You also find variations on it like "connaud" (for men) and "connasse" (for women). There is also the word "connaudzeau" (I think that's the spelling).

Which in Italian is Condoleezza. Go figure!

6. Actually...
"con" in the literal sense means something a litttle more, shall we say, naughty than that. Which may be just as fitting... Although it's normally used in the sense of "idiot".
