1. Oh, Jesus.
I saw in the news he was going back into surgery to remove scar tissue from his bypass, but I didn't see anything about this.

Hope he pulls through okay.

6. Yeah but you aren't under anesthesia when they are removed
There is no amount of morphine that can take away the pain of that.

I speak from experience...

10. Hmmm... I didn't mind the removal as much as I did the re-inflation.
I just remember getting a little dizzy when I saw the blood from getting the tube removed. I just don't remember that much pain during the removal. Maybe I was just so happy to have the tube removed, I didn't realize it was painful.

7. Tell me about it...
When I was 17 I had my right lung collapsed in a boxing match. I was sick and I shouldn't have took the match, but they needed a main event to complete the fight card, so I figured screw it. I remember I was coming off the ropes when my opponent threw a right to my body early in the second round. I guess it was the combination of me coming forward off the ropes and Andy diggin' a straight right to my body at the same time that did it. At first, I thought I just had the wind knocked out of me. After boxing for two minutes and finishing the round, I kind of figured out their was something wrong when I still couldn't catch my breath in the corner. Not to mention... Breathing hurts really bad when you have a collapsed lung.

Anyhow, re-inflating your lung is about the most painful thing I think I've ever gone through. Trust me... Anasthesia doesn't do jack for re-inflation, unless you're put completely under. Bright side... It only hurts really bad for a couple of minutes. Then you just have to deal with a tube sticking out of your ribs for a month or two. Not to mention... the whole uncomfortable feeling with the tube. Pretty much though... This is a pretty routine procedure.

4. I saw a news story today about removal of scar tissue
and fluid from his heart surgery. I think it was on Yahoo. Nothing about a lung collapse.

NEW YORK Mar 8, 2005 — Former President Clinton, who underwent quadruple bypass surgery in September, will undergo a medical procedure Thursday to remove fluid and scar tissue from his left chest, his office announced.

The procedure, which happens occasionally as a result of open-heart surgery, will take place Thursday at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. He will remain in the hospital for three to 10 days, his office said in a statement.

11. He's not in the hospital
He's actually meeting with the Bush Presidents today.

Surgery will be Thursday, I believe.
