Harry Reid is on C-Span now talking about the bankruptcy law
specifically the abortion amendment which would prevent a loop hole for anti-abortion extremists.

Violent anti-abortion extremists break the law at abortion clinics and then go bankrupt to avoid paying their fines.

1. So does Reid support the bankruptcy law?
Biden supports it. If Reid opposes the law, what will he do with Dems who vote for it.

2. No, Reid doesn't support the overall bankruptcy law
all the Dem amendments have been voted down.

You ask a good question. I posed that very question (how are they going to deal with Dems who vote for credit card cos instead of citizens) to Sen Reid and the DNC in letters last week and asked for an "official" response. Nothing yet.

3. I'm glad he doesn't support it.
It'll be interesting in how he treats Dems who vote for credit card companies over citizens.

4. If there ever was a bill to filibuster, this one would be it...
The republicans have no argument for this bill--it's a clear giveaway to the credit card industry. If Dems would filibuster and bring to light all the nasty things this bill contains, maybe--just maybe--there might be enough pressure brought to bear upon the ruling party to at least accept a few of the amendments that were offered and summarily voted down.

5. Would that exemption apply to violent left wing protestors too?
I mean if they let anti abortion nut cases off how about making sure violent anarchists and neo-communists don't go into bankruptcy because of their legal fees as well.
