"You've come to a wounded city, but it is not a city that has surrendered," said Alberto Ruiz Gallardon, the mayor of Madrid. "We need your efforts to feel safe again. We need you to find how to stop it happening again. The time for solutions has arrived."
World leaders scheduled to attend the conference include Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, as well as U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Pakistan's President Gen. Pervez Musharraf and former President Clinton may also attend.
Others scheduled to attend the conference include Howard Dean, the Democratic National Committee chairman, and Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator for the Palestinian Authority....."
