Curious: Anyone notice a DROP in the amount of Credit Card solicitations?

I was reading through some articles on the Credit Card Profit Maximization bill (aka Bankruptcy "Reform") and it dawned on me that I haven't gotten any NEW Credit Card come-ons in the past couple of weeks. I could swear I get them at least one a week but for the past couple of weeks - NADA. I wonder if the CC industry has specifically decided to "lay low" while the legistlation is being rolled through the Senate.
We usually get several a week, but it has slowed down considerably of late. On a similar note, Capitol One is buying one of the oldest banks in New Orleans, Hibernia. One more historical name lost to a merger.
I opened my pile of mail that I left for a few weeks and noticed that there were a noticeable amount less than what we usually get. A few months ago I had called all the solicitors and asked them to stop sending offers. They said it would take a little while. Especially Household Bank. They were a pain in the ass. We ran our credit report recently and we saw that they (household) was looking at our credit atleast twice a month. I am just happy that they have either stopped or slowed. Also, I recently cut up my homedepot and my target credit cards! It felt great! Go ahead and cut one up! See for yourself how good it feels. I did it at home and I only wish I would have done it outside of the creditors stores like some groups did on buy nothing day.
