SuperNanny goes to the Whitehouse
Whether or not a supernanny could succeed in forcing President Bush to play nicely in a world that is not his private sandbox, though he appears to think it is, is another question, but it may well be worth a try at the very beginning of this second term to raise his consciousness and conscience to a new level.

First of all, he might be persuaded under pain of losing his shiny new boots, to retreat to Camp David, an opulent “naughty stool,” to consider what his ego-driven, insane rush to war in Iraq has caused in the way of suffering and death to thousands
...
Marine Sgt. Albert Stuart, 22, of Pittsburgh, said, “We’re wasting lives. There’s no point in being there.” Those words should force all of us to pause and ask ourselves how this nation, once the leader of the free world, finds itself becoming the object of distrust and fear, even hatred, among too many countries. We would hope that President Bush would remain in exile at Camp David until he is able to tell the White House Supernanny that he is ready to apologize to the American people for manipulating them into the war, and will give them concrete plans for bringing our troops home.

I had this thought after watching part of that show last night. Put it in simple terms for people -- a parody of Supernanny meets *. I found the above article which plays somewhat straight and serious. They weren't the only ones to think * could use a trip to the naughty step.

“Apparently,” Stevie continued, “Mr Bush is easily distracted, refuses to practise his reading and likes to make up words, often at the most inappropriate times.
...
“If you look upon the Republicans as one big, dysfunctional family, and the President as the youngest child, he has made a few gaffes and embarrassed a lot of people, sometimes all the people.

“Sending him to sit on the naughty step, or taking away a favourite toy, like his coloring book, or denying him his favorite treats, like pretzels or playing Masters of the Universe on his Gameboy, might just work.
