Didn't the US govt abandon the color-coded terra alerts system?
because I'm wondering why the Fox news ticker is showing yellow writing with "terror alert - elevated" on the bottom of my tv screen.

1. It's been stuck on yellow since right after Bush got reelected

They don't care about updating it any more since its not politically relevant now. BTW I don't think its ever gone below yellow.

2. True -
The whole terror alert thing was a scam to scare the voters - I've noticed myself that before the elections, we were getting bullshit terror alerts everyday, but since Shrub got re selected, the whole thing has fallen by the wayside.
