Now that I have your attention this is not just about scoring points for Democrats, it's about helping soldiers. However it could help Democrats in a big way as well. A caller on the Ed Schultz show suggested a GI Bill of Rights. Ed Schultz loved the idea and I do as well as several other people on a previous post. He suggested that soldiers would have rights such as not being sent into battle without proper body armor etc. etc. If they were then they could refuse an order or sue the government. This is something that really should be done and if the Democrats picked it up as an issue they could certainly help get it through and score some points in the process. If Republicans try to go against it all Democrats would have to say is "Republicans don't support the troops". EVERYONE NEEDS to write their senator, write letters to the editor and do what you can to get this bill up and in the face of the public.
