If ya ever get to doubting the total stupidity of freeping rightwingnuts..
Or the absolute and total hypocrisy of bush...

You guys remember after the actual invasion, bush & bLiar were DEMANDING the UN lift sanctions againt Iraq?

Bush Urges End to Iraq Sanctions (April 2003)

http://www.globalpolicy.org/security/sanction/iraq1/council/2003/0417bushurges.htm

End Iraq sanctions, says Bush

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2954485.stm

And the rightwingnuttery demonizing France & Russia etc who wanted them only suspended?

France wants Iraq sanctions suspended

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2967909.stm

Thing is, those sanctions against Iraq were WRITTEN BY THE USA. And in them, it clearly states the sanctions are NOT to be lifted until the UN weapons teams verify Iraq is "WMD"-free.

So the rightwingnuttery launched into brave action, demonizing all those who dare oppose the mighty bush-god

Axis Of Weasels Refuse To Lift UN Sanctions On Iraq

Some things are so predictable. I never for a moment doubted that the Russian and French governments would use their leverage as permanent UN Security Council members to keep sanctions on Iraq unless they get favorable commercial terms for dealing with the new Iraqi government.

http://www.parapundit.com/archives/001151.html

Notice this idiot "loves" Russia's and France's reasons for wanting sanctions only suspended; because they want the US TO OBEY THE US'S OWN UN RESOLUTION. Yeah I love that too, moran. Too bad bush doesn't walk his talk.

The Command Post - Iraq - Putin Opposes US, Britain on Iraqi Sanctions

-Putin is trying to blackmail the Coalition. He needs those contracts paid off or he loses major support in Russia. He doesn't give a flying d--- about WMDs - if he did, he wouldn't have helped supply Iraq with so many of them.

-Was Russia one of the countires who wanted sanctions lifted befroe Saddam was removed?

It seems as though they really want to do business with a dictatorship.....

http://www.command-post.org/2_archives/007052.html

Imagine France & Russia having the NERVE to demand bush uphold America's OWN UN RESOLUTION! Shocking!

:eyes:

Anyways, here's the juicy bit. Guess what bush did 2 months after this demonization of France et al and demanding the UN lift all sanctions against Iraq?

Go on, guess!

Ok I'll tell ya what he did, coz far as I am aware, not one single media outlet ever mentioned this and only the US Embassies had the info;

Bush Renews Sanctions on Iraq, July 31, 2003

(Certifies to Congress That Iraq Is a Continuing Threat)

President Bush has formally renewed the U.S. sanctions against Iraq, citing continued instability in the country, as well as the need to "ensure the establishment of a process leading to representative Iraqi self-rule."

To extend the sanctions, the president certified to Congress that Iraq continues to pose a threat to the United States. Former President George Bush first imposed sanctions on Iraq on August 2, 1990.

6. Wouldn't it be true to say
that the Iraq sanctions were written by poppy seed's administration?

"Thing is, those sanctions against Iraq were WRITTEN BY THE USA."

The real irony is that the weasel was fighting sooo hard to lift daddy's decision.

This is not an American war with Iraq, It is a Bush family war. The BFEE had unfinished family business in the middle east, and now taxpayer money is being used to prosecute their private intrests. Shouldn't this be considered "larceny by conversion?"
