The withdrawal of Syria from lebanon is being claimed as a great
victory for Bush's vision. It is more likely to precipitate an all out war between the Falangists, the Druze and the Arab Muslims which erupted when the Israelis pulled out after Ariel Sharon invaded Lebanon. That these countries which have reached an uneasy equilibrium after many years of living together are being subjected to one invader after another claiming to bring democracy, peace, stability what have you is one of the saddest part of this wretched war of Bush.

Not content with this chest thumping, Bush and his propagandists are now going to go after Syria proper and Iran under one pretext after another. It is quite clear that they think that both Afghanistan and Iraq are under control, all evidence notwithstanding.

I am willing to predict that Bush's puppets in saudi Arabia, pakistan and Egypt will come under increasing pressure from the Arab masses to defeat their foreign masters.Mubarak, Musharraf and the Saudi Royal Family are going to be history while Bush gloats about his war for democracy. The true democracy in the Middle East may yet emerge, the ones that will result in the overthrow of the American puppets.

1. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt
will find their governments overthrown and taken over by more militant people because of their support for the US in the region. And Pakistan has the bomb.

Egypt's democracy is democracy lite and Saudi Arabia's democratic gestures are similar to a gesture we make with all but the middle finger curled into a fist (women can't vote). And how many attempts have there been on Musharraf's life in the past year?
