The last time I looked, "elite" was not a bad thing to be.
The next time a conservative calls you "elite", he/she is really saying that you are smarter than him.

e·lite or é·lite
1. A group or class of persons or a member of such a group or class, enjoying superior intellectual, social, or economic status: “In addition to notions of social equality there was much emphasis on the role of elites and of heroes within them” (Times Literary Supplement).

2. The best or most skilled members of a group: the football team's elite.

Fuck em! They can't co-opt that word like they co-opted "liberal". Being smarter than you is not a bad thing.

Deal with it, fuckos.

3. If someone calls me "elite", I thank them for the complement...
... however, if they call me an "elitist", or part of "the elite" that I take exception to.

Words do have more than one meaning. That's why context is so important.

6. Republicans revel in the stupidity of the average American.
Sure, there are many "smart" Republicans. Those are the ones who laugh at getting the votes of the dumb ones.

7. There is nothing more "elitist" than saying
I am going to heaven and you are not. But that doesn't stop conservatives from calling liberals "elitists".
