I mean, I'll work my tailbone off to support a candidate I feel the democratic party can get behind. But there isn't one democratic candidate out there, including Lieberman, that makes me think it would be ok to do ANYTHING to help Bush serve another 4 years.

3. I don't like Dean or Lieberman

But I just can't NOT vote for either of them against that thing we have in the White House.

4. Well said, and I agree with you
I will vote for any Dem, including Lieberman, that gets the nomination. However, with that said, I think it is vital that we do everything we can to assure that Lieberman does NOT get the nomination. A Lieberman candidacy would fracture the Democratic party beyond belief - the Greens would probably get close to 10% of the vote and Bush* would win a second term in a landslide.

Fortunately, the latest poll I've seen has Lieberman at 4%.

5. I'm on board 110%
If we don't want Lieberman as our nominee then lets do something to make sure that he ISN't the nominee. We have about 10 months until the official democratic nominee is decided (although we'll have a good idea in about 6 months). We simply all need to work hard to ensure it's a great candidate that everyone can get behind.

7. I feel the same way Lynne, and it irks me when I read threads like...
"No way I'd vote Lieberman" or Dean, Clark, etc.
Or "I'm a Green and no way will a corporatist get my vote"
Blah Blah, Yada yada yada...

This election may be the most important in american history. Bu$h and his regime are are killing us constitutionally, financially, and physically, if you want to include our troops fighhting his war for profit. Some people are fucking clueless!

WE HAVE TO GIVE OUR VOTE TO THE DEM NOMINEE REGARDLESS OF WHO HE, SHE, OR WHAT IS! WE NEED TO PUT MOST OF OUR SPECIAL INTEREST PRINCIPLES ASIDE, VOTE THE DEM IN AND GET THIS EVIL FACIST SON OF A BITCH (literally)OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!
ANY QUESTIONS????

8. I think Lieberman wants Bush elected.
and so do most of his proclaimed supporters, just look at Ed Koch, he loves Lieberman but will vote for Bush. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=319370

So I no longer feel that way. I am "anyone but Lieberman". The upside is Lieberman won't get the nomination anyway

10. Think down the ticket as well
I am and have been a straight ticket democrat since I could vote.

I would not choose to elect a republican to any office. They ALL need to go.

Much of the hanky panky in FLA in 2000 was due to republican supervisors of elections. Interestingly, they had the time and staff to fill out messed up republican absentee ballots but just couldn't manage get all the new voters registered by NAACP on the roles.

We need 60 votes in the Senate so we can replace a few Supreme Court Justices.... (The Bush 5 perhaps?)

I say send them all packing.
