Geena Davis to star as first female president of the US
I know you all don't want to go there, but this is Drudge's headline story.

THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Here SHE is.
The President of the United States.
Coming soon, if ABC's drama pilot "Commander in Chief" gets picked up.
Anticipating a run by Hillary Clinton, Geena Davis will star as the first female president of the United States!
Davis, a Democrat political activist, is set for the two-hour pilot with writer/director Rod Lurie.
Casting Director Jeanne Boisineau will hold an open call for men and women to play government officials and members of the secret service and military this Saturday in Richmond, VA.

2. Not what we need
IMHO, West Wing and the like do us a disservice. Many people look at that and project there is still morality and vision in the White House. We need a thinly veiled Rove/DeLay/Condi show to depict just how wrong it has gone.....maybe that will jar the masses out of their fog.

3. Remember when Geena Davis had juice?
One stupid pirate movie, one bad tv show, and one pubic-hair-revealing dress later and she is an artifact.

The entertainment business is amazing.

She needs to do a movie with Tarantino or something.

4. She's been one my favorites
from The Fly to A League of their Own. I'm older than her so she can be my artifact.

6. Prefer Geena to Dubya
any day. She's got about 100 IQ points on the man. She's a better athlete AND she's taller. (apparently, height is very important in picking a president...why Bush was so worried about standing next to Kerry in the debates).
and if she'd get back together with the wonderful Jeff Goldblum, we'd have a perfect First Couple.
