As private accounts lose favor in polls, GOP scrambles

2. I like how they split the anti-bush* vote with a three way poll
Who do you trust with SS

bush* 23%

Congressional Democrats 41%

AARP 37%

And since that's 101% I GEAR-ON-TEE they gave the extra 1% to shrubnuts*.

4. A couple of days ago, I heard a snippet of Weedspeak in which the
Weed himself was boasting SS being the Third Rail, and "I touched it". I hope he gets scorched good. Couldn't happen to a nicer jerk.

5. they've dragged greenspan out now -- and he's urging
faster action on social security.
last week -- or something like that -- he thought going slow on private accounts was a good idea -- this week -- go faster and no word about going slow on private accountss.

we haven't seen the last of what ever the gop is going to do regarding the busting up of social security.

6. I think they have overplayed the Greenspan hand. He has gone
to bat for them too many times on other issues that have not worked out well.

7. Greenspan said that the U.S. had enough money to fund
tax cuts for the top 1% of U.S. citizens,

but now he says the U.S. doesn't have enough money to pay social security.

Wow!
