What's going on with Unfiltered?

2. Lotsa listern comments on the blog, but...

nothing concrete except someone called the station and heard they'll be back tomorrow. It doesn't bode well that at least one AAR affiliate dropped the show.

A lot of people apparently don't like Liz Winstead, and think she's on the chopping block, but who knows...

And with Chuck D never around, and not saying much when he's there...

Anyway, "I" like Winstead, and Unfiltered is my favorite show on AAR. Even if they drop Lizz, Maddow still is the best interviewer on during the week.

12. Seattle's affiliate is dropping Unfiltered

The station management is not enthralled with it, and is frustrated with the fact that Chuck D is rarely on. They'll be tape delaying "Morning Sedition" and broadcasting it from 6-9 AM in Seattle.

If you live in the Seattle area, (hell, even if you don't,) please lobby them to carry Mike Malloy. They still aren't. I would love to hear his show, even if it's on taped delay as well.

As I can't listen to Unfiltered. I love Rhodes, Malloy a Majority Report. Too much anti-male snarking on Unfiltered for my taste.

Madison replaced Unfiltered with Stephanie Miller...and that works for me.

7. Don't Know But Am Personally Hoping That Show Gets Tossed.

Chuck D is never there and those two women are not only not well informed... they aren't terribly funny or entertaining.

A cooment from one of their bits sums their pathetic schtick up for me:

one of them said "this show is great cause we get paid to hate Republicans".

How savvy.

Rhodes and Malloy expose and flay the liars all the time but don't say stupid shit like that.

9. Rhodes and Malloy are ranters...

and they are much better with the facts than Limbaugh and that ilk, but they still play fast and loose with them at times. And they both use the callers as springboards for more rants.

That I agree with them most of the time doesn't mean they aren't still ranters, and I can't listen to hours of ranting or abusing even callers they agree with.

Others can, and that's OK, but we should be able to do better than just rant.

And Maddow is one of the best interviewers an AAR-- she prepares and usually asks the right questions and followups. Unlike Franken, who spends more time sticking his schtick into the interviews and confusing both the guest and the issues. (Katherine's been a radio pro for years, and you can just feel the frustration at times.)

His tactics are ineffective. He lays out rightwing frames and allows wingnuts to rationalize and explain them. Aside from giving more exposure to these ideas, I've never heard of him converting one person. That dumbass mark makes me sick.

And howard fineman is a total sellout. My newsweek is catbox liner until the subscription runs out.

Dobbs is right on in his assesment of outsourcing and illegal immigration. It pisses me off how they trash him over immigration.

Other than that, I think they do well.
