3. It's the implied threat.
"I'm a fundie christian and I have power over you." Just more of that "Jesus is Love" stuff. No biggie.

4. How about...
"I masturbate and I vote!"

"I drink and I vote!" (although I don't. Drink, that is).

"I watch porn and I vote!"

"I don't go to Church and I vote!"

"I remember the Constitution and I vote!"

I like that one. I'll work on it a little, but it sounds good as it stands.

9. The big bumper-sticker around Brevard, NC, is "WE STILL PRAY!"
I'm still not sure what it means. That bumper-sticker is ubiquitous, often appearing along a Bu$h/Cheney sticker.

Imagine my thrill the other day when spotting a car with a Kerry/Edwards sticker and a knock-off of the "Pray" bumper-sticker which read: WE STILL THINK!

Know what I mean, Vern?

19. seen that
My Mom lives in Hendersonville so I've seen that sticker. Apparently that sticker is a reaction to a lawsuit after a local school started having a mass prayer before sports events. Some folks seem to think that if you can't make everybody in a school sportstadium at least appear to pray then you've "outlawed" prayer. :eyes:

10. Devil's Advocate here
My first thought if I saw that sticker in my neck of the woods would be 'there's a Liberal'. Right here on DU, it's been discussed (at length) how RepubliCONS assert they are the only religious party. Also, the media always seems to press (no pun intended) the notion that Democrats don't vote--i.e. high turnout means Democrats are voting.

That said, I wouldn't have the same thought if there's also a "Jesus is the Light, the Way, the TRUTH" and a fish with "TRUTH" in it's center, and a diamond studded crystal cross hanging from the rearview mirror.

how bout that?

did anyone see this interview with arnold in which he was asked how his religious views affected his decisions on abortion and gay rights? he told them something to the effect of, 'what does that have to do with anything?"
score!
laura ingraham was up in arms, only good politicians, apparantly, believe that the law should be within the firm grasp of religion.
