BushCo. Blames More Stuff On Syria! How Long 'Til We Hit Them?
With Bush now targeting Syria with all the pressure it can muster, here's another Bush administration claim of "intelligence" indicating Syrian involvement in a bombing in Tel Aviv.

A lot of folks think that we are gearing up for Iran and while I do think they are on the neo-con menu, I think they see Syria as an appetizer.

So let the betting begin. How long (if ever) do you think is will be before the bombs start dropping on Syria?

U.S. official implicates Syrian-based group in Tel Aviv attack
'Firm evidence' cited on Palestinian Islamic Jihad's alleged role
From John King
CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The United States has "firm evidence" that leaders of the Syrian-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad authorized and were "actively involved in planning" Friday's suicide bombing in Israel, a Bush administration official said Tuesday.

The conclusion is likely to add to the pressure the White House already is placing on Syria because of what it considers that country's interference in Lebanon and Iraq.

A U.S. official in Washington said that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was addressing the new information in London, where she was attending a conference on ways to help the Palestinian Authority. (Full story)

8. My belief is
bush is basically using public opinion to decide which country to attack first. Iran isn't looking good now so he is trying to paint Syria as a threat too. No matter which country he backs down from, he and his idiots can use it to spout "using negotation."

11. Iran is not prudent to attack at this juncture.
China and Russia have said: NO!

Syria may be out, as well because Iran may come to that country's defense. With the Bush Junta being insane though, anything is possible.

So Pooty-Poot tells Damascus, "Pop all you want, we'll make more". Could he know something? After all, the Shrub and him did that "Crawford Mind-Meld" thing...

But to tell everryone "We have NO plans to attack anyone at this time", which was the same bullshit he fed us shortly before dropping bombs on Bagdhad..."Fool me ONCE, Shame on YOU...."

What's that spell ?

FISH!

Yeah, come on all of you, big strong men,
Uncle Sam needs your help again.
He's got himself in a terrible jam
Way down yonder in Vietnam
So put down your books and pick up a gun,
We're gonna have a whole lotta fun.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why,
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

Well, come on generals, let's move fast;
Your big chance has come at last.
Gotta go out and get those reds —
The only good commie is the one who's dead
And you know that peace can only be won
When we've blown 'em all to kingdom come.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

Huh!

Well, come on Wall Street, don't move slow,
Why man, this is war au-go-go.
There's plenty good money to be made
By supplying the Army with the tools of the trade,
Just hope and pray that if they drop the bomb,
They drop it on the Viet Cong.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam.
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

Well, come on mothers throughout the land,
Pack your boys off to Vietnam.
Come on fathers, don't hesitate,
Send 'em off before it's too late.
Be the first one on your block
To have your boy come home in a box.

And it's one, two, three
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam.
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why,
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

The "Fish Cheer" at the beginning of the tune was a bit different at Woodstock:

Gimme an F
Gimme a U
Gimme a C
Gimme a K

bush & cheney & both bush's hand-picked rethug ISG weapons inspectors have admitted Iraq HAD NO WMD SINCE 1991 and NO CAPABILITY to make any since 1991.

Kinda tough for Iraq to have sent non-existant "WMD" to Syria.

doesn't mean he won't turn around and lie. Not like the rethugs would know the difference or the "liberal media" would call him on it.

The other half of America and the rest of the entire world would know it's a total lie and that the rethugs are the stupidest MFers on the planet still...but we & the world know that already.

Syria! Iran! (Don't look behind that curtain!) Syria! Iran! (Don't look behind that curtain!) Syria! Iran! (Don't look behind that curtain!)

Corporations, already limited in liability, are made more immune to class action suits, suits that address their most widespread abuses.

Bankruptcy laws are being rewritten to make it less possible for impoverished individuals to be relieved of burdensome debt, and easier for corporations to do so.

Veteran support programs are being gutted while privatized (corporate) spending is being increased.

The media has become a propaganda organ for the corporatist regime - a wet dream for Joseph Goebbels - where frauds like Gannon/Guckert are enriched while the only slightly right-of-center news-people like Dan Rather are being savaged by lies and slanders.

The federal piggy bank is being pillaged, poor people are being raped economically, and the regime fiddles while Fallujah burns.

Edited on Wed Mar-02-05 12:14 PM by tex-wyo-dem
it's Israel with Lebanon backing.

Codeliezza just got done stating that there's "firm evidence" that Syria was directly tied to the suicide bombing in Israel, and Syria has already been blamed for the assassination of Lebanon's PM. This is basically creating the idea that one sovereign nation (Syria) attacked two other sovereign nations (Israel and Lebanon), which would support the idea that these countries now have the right to attack back to protect their people and interests.

edit: correct spelling
