If You Criticize Clark You are Unpatriotic & Don't Support Our Troops &
you are a stinking traitor who should love Amureka or leave it!!! Ohhhhhh, how I am looking forward to Clark in a face-off with Bush. The only thing Bush has to run on is defense/war and the image of him as the great Commander and Chief (that's like COC of the MILITARY). What on God's earth does he do with Clark? What kind of attacks?---because, you see, to attack Clark is to attack the very damn thing he needs to pump up in order to win. He would have to walk on eggs not to even have the appearance of insulting the "military". He would have to walk on eggs not to end up in an AWOL trap. So what's Georgie gonna' bullshit about??---his great stewardship of America??---jobs, environment, etc.??? Clark is going to totally tongue-tie the Bush regime. He has not come from the "political" world and has nothing to attack as far as a political record. Yet, his international dealings absolutely dwarf Bush when he ran as governor from Texas and still dwarf Bush regime's knowledge of international politics. Four stars are going to trump a Halloween costume flight jumpsuit any day. And we can always start the repuke chant of "how dare you attack the military" during a time of war.

1. I wish
this was true. Alas, attack machines such as Rove's are not put off by the truth. See Cleland, Max.

Clark may be less vulnerable than some, but then again, he may not be.
Not one American life was lost under his command in the campaign against Yugoslavia, but the heavy bombing of Serbia will be be cast in the worst possible light, even though it stinks of hypocricy.

Rove and company are not bound by niceties. They'll attack whoever the candidate is. Expect them to come up with high ranking officers to smear Clark. We need to understand that it's going to be ugly no matter who the candidate is.

4. With Max they were dealing with Georgia--a screaming repuke
loving state. They could have shit on Jesus and still pulled it off. But this is nation wide and that's a whole different bag than Georgia.

7. You're right of course, but ugly KKKarl already has felon status
in his future from such nixon-style 'hardball'. Getting into a game of 'burnout' with the Clark campaign would speed Shrub's doom.

The last thing they would remember before swooning is two or three weeks of media fighting, arguing and revealing of the unpresident's dishonorable and stained record of military service.

2. I'm anxious...
IF it goes down the way I hope it will.....i'm anxious to see General Clark in the VP debate with Cheney.

5 deferments, Mr. Vice President? Explain yourself.

Not intended to start a flame war. I'm just envisioning my little dream world here. Think about it...you want to see him debate Cheney too, don't you????

. . .at this point there is no primary for Vice President, until he either announces he is not running or loses in the primary I expect him to lead the ticket.

9. Yes, I agree
...just wishful thinking.

As DU's most inside member of the Draft Clark campaign, I'm glad you didn't take that in the wrong way.

Good luck!!!

6. We don't have to criticize Clark, the GOP will do that
and they will label him as a traitor and military maverick that does not support the troops.

We cannot compete with the GOP when it comes to blind patriotism and rampant nationalism. We can only point out that the only thing the GOP has to offer is fear and barbarism, and that their views are out of sync with the Founders of the Republic.

8. IG--hell, it's rhetoric that the GOP can handle; it's 4 stars that they
can't. People don't think; they just watch images and they have been programmed that to support of military is good; to be anti-war and yapping is just pink, panty-waste liberal spew. I'll take the stars over the jive to bring Bush down (and that's exactly why Bush tapped Powell).
