There was a time when I watched the news and was happy!
I didn't have to think any further on what was reported. I was as happy as a clam in a shell.

Now, after meeting folks like you, I can't watch the news without hurling expletives, turning off the tv in disgust or go over to non news channels like TV Land!

But you know something. I am happier this way!

Thanks a million!

1. i have been a lifetime news watcher
took lots of my time. during impeachment all the time, all the channels. oct after one of kerry's speeches. a really good speech that had so many interesting things for the news to talk about, and all tey did was pick at him for silly stuff. not even talking about his speech. i turned off the news. decades watching and that was it. turned it off

has been months. my dvd pile is high and getting bigger. i love it. no news in this house. i get my news off this site. and others

3. Until the wacky right-wing controlling machine gained control,...
,...I felt comfortable in my country. Now, I can honestly say that I feel like the nation I love is being torn apart by those who are the worst examples of American values.

On the other hand, I am witnessing the greatest human movement in my lifetime,...a movement I see growing very quickly.

4. I stopped watching in 1981. It was then I realized how the government
lies and the media reports what it wants. As for the newscasters, they wouldn't know a fact if it bit them on the leg. Local news is terrible. So is national. I've never watched Faux. Thank God for the internet and international news.

6. I haven't watched the "news" for the last 8 years
I got tired of my mind being filled with who got killed/raped/abducted/etc. and the complete irrelavance of everything else. It is amazing how much more clearly I view things now.
