#1 Talking Point for Dems: MSM Is A Shoddy RW Propaganda Machine
Is that such a difficult message to get across? Sometimes you need to suck it up, admit that the emperor has no clothes...and state the obvious.

Dem politicos need to expand their criticism of Faux News to include the entire MSM. They should harp on it relentlessly. The message to the American people: "You're not getting the whole story, and the story you are getting is a lie."

Who's with me?

2. Sort of, but that makes the MSM the villain not Bush/Rove
Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 11:39 AM by HereSince1628
If the meme is Bush/Corporate Backers have subverted the MSM into a RW propaganda machine the blame gets put a bit closer to where we want it.

Very very nearly half the nation voted Democratic (and a whole bunch of Dem leaning MSM consumers that didn't register or vote can be added to them).

The MSM currently divide their followers among themselves in 4 or 5 major slices. One of those slices, by going blue could see a HUGE increase in viewership, which would translate to HUGE increases in real advertising revenues.

It would be GOOD BUSINESS for one of those MSM to go as obviously blue as Fox is red.

Personally I think we need to coax one of the major networks into that, rather than slapping their hands.

on edit: I wish someone on the DNC staff was pushing THAT.

4. But that makes Bush/Rove the villain and not the "Republican" Party
Bush and Rove are lame ducks.

6. Good point, although I wonder about the future of the dynasty.
Bush will go. ROVE MAY STAY!

Which are the puppets and which are the puppeteers?

3. This Meme has a Snowballs Chance in hell of catching on
The current Meme "Liberal Media" is too strong. First we need to demolish that myth through harping on Gannon, the paid commentators, and so on.

5. I think it would be to our advantage to put them on the defensive...
ANd how do we do that?

By not being afraid to criticize them. Make them answer for their stupid biases and comments.

8. I agree, but Joe and Jane Citizen can't ask those questions directly
They depend on their media reps to do that.

Oh-OH! Democrats have forgot to make sure they have Media Reps!

Oh-OH! BIG Problem!
Call the DNC!
Call the DOCTOR!!!

We've got a "flatline" on Democratic representation in the MSM!!!!

meanwhile offscreen in the blogosphere we hear...

"Give us a heartbeat, come on you old SOB!, the Nation, the Constitution(!!!!) is counting on you!

BEAT GODDAM YOU!
