My computer was working fine
and so my husband had to fix it. Now it types in italics and I can't read what I type cuz my eyes are gimpy, the letters run together. I use XP and the problem is with internet explorer. Any ideas how to fix it or site to look at? I know internet explorer is not liked here, but I didn't have much luck with firefox. Thanks in advance cuz I have a 103 temp and not sure when I'll feel up to getting back here again.

1. Hm, not much of a clue. But yay for having a fever! [Same here.]
Though I'm thinking the Motrin brought me back down to normal temp. now.

2. It "types in italics"?
I don't know what you mean. Where does it "type in italics"?

Are you sure that fever isn't a bit high :)

3. Em.. try to adjust the text size
In Internet expl. you may adjust text size 'live' in the page by choosing View > Text size.

Try to set it to large, and see if it get's better.

IE often resets this feature to text size low - don't know why :-)

4. Very easy
Open your browser.
Go to top where it says "tools"
then go to "internet options"
at the bottom there is a box that says "fonts"
click on that and set your font to what you want.
Hope you feel better!

5. Two ideas...
Go to Start, Control Panel, Display. Click on the Appearance tab.

In the "Scheme" box, select Windows Classic or Windows Standard.

Look for Message Text and Message Text and click them and see if italic is selected for either of these.

Go to IE, and go to View, Encoding and make sure Western European is selected.

Slap Husband.
