What do you think: What is the neocon's greatest fear?
Since my last thread generated 0 replies...

I'll try, try again. :)

What do you think is the #1 fear of the neocons?

I'd say they wear their greatest fear on their sleeve.
They are afraid we're going to get to comparing notes
on how bad things are really being run. Get organized
and kick their butts to the curb where they belong.

22. Exactly what I was thinking. I believe tyrants use the tactics on others
that they most fear themselves. Ever notice how terrified cops are of anybody with a gun? Or wife beaters of being beat up? Handcuffing has more to do with instilling fear and humiliation than "for your protection".
imho

23. Yep. May I add my theory on closeted self-hating gay reeps?
They have toed the line, married, oftentimes have kids, and boy it BURNS their CORK to see real, out, open gay people enjoying themselves, without shame. their silent scream: If I had to hide, you should too! Not fair!

People who stay in the closet are adept, well-practiced liars. A handy skill if you're Republicanoid.

The lower level goons are afraid of losing their social standing.

Eminem's fan base is mainly disaffected youth. His rallying cry is meaningful.

If more people realized how profitable sane political beliefs were, we wouldn't be in this mess.

10. Exposure in the MSM
As I see it they can only maintain their current position because of the ignorance of the masses. You will notice that the three main conduits for information dissemination (TV / Newspapers, Educational establishments & Churches) are or have been infiltrated or attacked in an effort to control the release of dissenting info or opinion.
The only unregulated means at our disposal currently is the internets and that too is under attack with the prospect of regulation looming.
In my mind it is IMPERATIVE that we place more focus on the MSM and their relationships with the GOP and the WH. It's not something that can be achieved overnight, but the Gannon affair was a good example of a story that had the potential to gain legs and embarrass this administration in front of a wider audience. We should also consider if there are any further ways (beyond some excellent left-leaning Bloggers) that we can explore to make the internets more relevant as a credible news source. The more often that "internet sources" are quoted on MSM the more likely people are to explore that avenue, therefore lessening their reliance / faith in the MSM.

For his never ending quest to reveal the truths regarding the establishment, thruths mainstream sources refuse to investigate.

The right wing needs the establishment to keep themselves propped up, to conduct "business as usual".

32. Losing/Failure/Humility?
Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 09:47 AM by Just Me
Their world view is so dark and ideological that I have considerable difficulty even imagining being in their crazy shoes. I mean, maybe they are so wrapped around their ideology as to preclude any rational fear (but certainly having the potential of creating extreme irrational fear i.e. paranoia).

However, there is something that they obviously avoid: "facts".

So, perhaps they fear that their intentional betrayal/deception of Americans will be revealed and the people will unite against them.

once they've gotten there they don't know what to do
