DC Socialite offering Reward for Jeff Gannon information
Have you seen this man?

A wealthy Washington socialite is offering a $10,000 reward for proof that Jeff Gannon (pictured), an allegedly gay kinky-sex prostitute / escort / white house reporter / GOP operative, has had sexual relations with top-ranking government officials.

But one thing is for sure: Jeff Gannon is on the lips of every insider in Washington D.C., and many say he's been kissing some of them, too -- for $200/ hour and $1,200 / weekend. His profiles on escort websites say he leaves no marks, only lasting impressions.

So, I ask again -- have you seen this man? Have you slept with this man? Do you know this man?

A local socialite, who wishes to remain anonymous, has teamed up with this site to offer a $10,000 reward to anyone that can provide hard proof (photos, phone pictures, locks of hair, DNA on a suit) that Jeff Gannon had ANY sexual -- or romantic -- relationship with any top-ranking officials here in Washington.

3. Fine, but the STORY is media manipulation gannon is just a
couple of more paragraphs.

The REAL concern is how Karl Roverer the head of the Bush ministry of propaganda has paid for shills, planted fake stories, and committed felonies by releasing confidential information (Plame's identity and the timing of the start of the Iraq War).

Sorry, but promoting the sex angle just muddies the water.

7. actually, nobody in the general public gives a crap
about such esoterica as media manipulation. They care about blue dresses, and stains, and cigars, and that is a proven fact.

You're right, the real issue is not the sex angle. But the only spotlight that works is the sex angle.

9. If it wasn't for the sex (especially gay sex) nobody would pay attention
The Bush regime has capitalized on penis-obsessed Puritanism to put him into office. It's about time his own tactics turned around to (bite) him in the ass.

Bush: Now, I'd love to answer your questions about the environment, jobs, and Iraq, but instead I want to talk to you about family values like gay marriage and stem cells and steroids in baseball. And Janet Jackson's nipple.

If there's one thing that sells to Repugs, the Reich Wing, and the media it's sex. Sex will sell the Gannon story.

Sex.. Sex ....... Sex ........... Sex ...... Sex ......... Sex ... Sex .......... Sex .. Sex .... Sex .... Sex.. Sex ....... Sex ........... Sex ...... Sex ......... (prostitution) Sex ... Sex .......... Sex .. Sex .... Sex .... Sex.. Sex ....... Sex ........... (gay) Sex ...... Sex ......... (whores) Sex ... Sex .......... Sex .. Sex .... Sex .... Sex.. Sex ....... Sex ........... Sex ...... Sex ......... (penis) Sex ... Sex .......... Sex .. Sex .... Sex .... Sex.. (homosexual) Sex ....... Sex ........... Sex ...... Sex ......... Sex ... Sex .......... Sex .. Sex .... Sex

Sex.

That's your hook.

Sex.

That's what gets it on the news.

The rest of the story (the boring, non-penis related parts) are Valerie Plame, Credentials, Shilling, Rathergate, Leaked Memos... all the stuff that leads to impeachment and treason... (yawn). SEX!

Sex? Sex? Oh, what was that? Tell me more... shilling, treason (yawn) SEX!... leaks... plame... SEX!... Rathergate... White House Security (yawn) .. SEX!

Now, we need Bill Clinton to make a statement in "support" of Jeff Gannon. "As someone who has faced a similarly viscous witch hunt, I feel his pain."

agents that he can compromise.

It all makes for a wonderfully Roverian (he is way past Machivellian) reality.

Every story of sex makes the significance less significant and more salacious.

23. Not so sure
I think the real story is also the sex angle. A gay male hooker getting access to the White House and the Press Corps because he's a gay male hooker, because he's getting paid for sex is what this story is about.

Gannon/Guckert had nothing going for him in the real journalists' world except the sex angle. Had he been a well-respected writer who was getting paid to shill for the GOP...that would be one thing. But he wasn't a well-respected writer, he was a gay male hooker who got paid to shill for the GOP. His being a whore is an integral part of this.

No. You won't convince me that the sex angle is not a very important part of this.

Do not tell me that if any of the female whores in DC got a job in a White House press corps to shill for either the Dems or the GOP that it would not be a BIG story.

25. I'll be goddamned.
The story is how Bush rode into the this term on the backs of hatred of gays and now may be gay and may have pro's running around blowing his staff.

It kills me the same people who bitch about "sex sells" and "infotainment" and "Faux news" are too anal to use these proven concepts to help but a chink in the armor of the moral authority that is Bush.

26. "Politician is hypocrit" is as interesting as "dog bites man"
Of course hypocracy is galling, particularly to the people or group that hypocracy involves. But its common. Its certainly a common phenomenon in the White House under either democrats or republicans.

An informed electorate is a requisite of a democracy. The level of manipulation of the media we've witnessed far far exceeds spin and message control.

Completely undermining the independence of the press (which is I think at least as well stablished as Bush's alledged gayness) threatens the foundations of democracy.

And in the end things can be attempted to insure the protection of the limited independence of the White House Press Corps.

31. you are absolutely right in that it is the real story
but it is not the story that is gonna sell.

dems need to use the sex to bewilder the repukes and pry the religious right from their backs, split the party, take back congress and then re-regulate the media.

You say, "As a matter of fact, I have this here photo..."

And that's the last anyone ever hears of you.

One by one, all the witnesses disappear...

I wish DC Socialite whoEVER would post something like that to her site, but it won't match the "lighthearted" tone of the site.

Gee, when Hannity said Freepers have a "propensity to eat their own" that was true on SO MANY levels.

Meanwhile, maybe Larry Flynt can help, too.

12. I've got a question
I haven't read all the various threads on this subject; no way anyone could. But has anyone considered that Gannon might have been an escort for some high ranking and powerful Democrats on the Hill, maybe some who are very interested in making this story go away? I haven't seen anyone mention this possibility yet.

13. it has been mentioned
both in this forum and in GD politics.

you will have to do a search.

however -- bottom line is Gannon was shilling for a Republican administration.

end of story.

I don't care who he was fucking. but i do care that he was shilling for the Bush sleaze. just so happens that the fucking aspect is the only thing keeping this thing alive.

Your tax dollars at work.

14. Pure speculation, but could this be why Biden's been sitting on his hands?
Not that Biden is necessarily getting some Gannon-Man-Action himself.

But let's not forget the possibility that Guckert has been a pass-around-pal for politicians to reward lobbyists and contributors.

It might not be so much which politicians he's been in bed with, but who has paid for his services as a "gift" for others.

Repubs and Democrats alike may have had Jeff Gannon as a "Secret Santa" gift for years for all we know.

16. Biden is as Biden Does, not as Biden Says
From what I have seen, Biden's mouth is bigger than his balls.

He seems to think his job as a Senator is a "speaking position," and his entire political career is merely a stepping-stone toward someday making a living giving commencement speeches for $30,000 a pop.

Biden to Condee: "You're an evil despicable lying traitor. You have undermined our entire US policy and placed our troops in greater peril. But hey, I'm going to vote to confirm you anyway. I'll look forward to working together. Lunch at Gannon's house on Tuesday?"

19. That's what I figured.
Thanks for the answer.

To me, it only makes sense that the big wigs don't want this out. Once things like this get started, the dice tumble. It starts going beyond Gannon and what he did. Suddenly, you've got other "male escorts" and "female escorts" who get dragged into the mix who had nothing to do with the original inquiry but who can "name names" of Senators and Representatives on both sides of the aisle, virtually destroying their political careers and worst of all to them, losing their power and access to $$$$$$$$.

It's another reason for me to believe this whole thing will get swept under the carpet. I'm guessing there's a whole bunch of high ranking officials and electors in DC who have no interest in seeing the first dice tumble.

And I don't view this as being tin-foil hat either. This is a very strong and real possibility.

That could also explain why coroprate media is not that interested in the story.

17. Good question.
I thought of the same thing. In fact, I'm wondering if the reason the mainstream press is quiet on this, is because a thorough investigation perhaps would expose much more than just Gannon and his playtime, but left/right/msm collusion throughout DC. But that's my tinfoil talking.

More realistically, I would think that if any whistleblowers take them up on the offer and high ranking Republican get exposed, there might be some "if we're going down, everybody's going down" sentiment around town. (of course the pun was intended. )
