AP Network radio news...better than heroin
In these days of death and destruction abroad, looming economic disaster at home and scandals in Washington close to boiling over, these are the four news stories AP network radio news has been repeating all day...

1. Terry Schaivo will live two more days, at least.
2. The jury for Michael Jackson's trial was picked pretty fast.
3. Robert Blake's murder trial is wrapping up
4. George Bush got a rousing welcome from the troops in Germany, where he reminded them "we gotta get them terra'ists"

I don't think there is a drug more powerful on the planet than the drug of our media, numbing the cerebral cortex into intellectual coma.
