Does Mr.bush need congressional ok to bomb Iran?
He got congress to ok the use of force in Iraq, leading to his saying he had to ok to invade, sort of, but does he need the ok to "just" bomb Iran, without a fullout invasion?

I'm trying to predict what warning we will have that it's imminent, not trying to debate how he got into Iraq.

Can he just bomb them directly with USA stuff, or does he have to go through Israel (either in support of Israel-Iran crap or just using Israel)?

1. He didn't even think he needed authorization to go into Iraq.
What makes you think he feels differently now?

2. He doesn't have the ok
but he'll have it in a heartbeat with the large Repuke majorities-unless it looks like the military would be stretched to the breaking point and he has to call for a draft. That may give some pause.

3. He has God's authority to bomb anyone he wants

he doesn't need to bother with Constitutional niceties.

How quaint ...

4. Technically....yes
Because it would be an act of war, and as we know, only Congress has the power to declare war. However, unfortunately, they have seemed only to willing to give that power away to the executive branch. And that's wrong.

5. I don't mean "declare War", I mean just bomb them
Only congress can declare War, techinically although we have all seen how easily that is gotten around since we haven't had a War since WWII yet there have been many wars. I was wondering if he could just go bomb them and help WWIII along that way?

7. He was given blanket authority to attack ANYBODY right after 9/11

All he has to do is trot out the terrorism canard and he already has authority.
