3. NONE
The victorious write history and by the time we are victorious again to amend the lies we won't care about amending them anymore over the other hundreds of atrocities committed in the interim.

I believe Dante said it best in Clerks: My mother told me once that when I was three, my potty lid was closed, and instead of lifting it, I chose to shit my pants. Point is-I'm not the kind of person that disrupts things in order to shit comfortably.

And that in my opinion is the overall state of the american people.

5. The Iraq war. No contest.
Even if everything else Bush did were on the up-and-up (and it isn't), the idea of a putative leader of a putative democracy and his aides deliberately lying to get into a war is enough to condemn him in the history books, not to mention condemn him before a international tribunal.

Since there were neither WMDs nor links to al Qaida, we are pretty much at a loss for any legitimate reason to go to war and can only assume that all the no-bid reconstruction contracts awarded even before the first missiles were fired had more to with than any stated reason. The purpose of this war was to ram a neoliberal economic structure down the throats of the Iraqi people and place Iraq's natural wealth in the hands of western transnational corporations. The war was fought for the benefit of war profiteers and no other reason. It was gunboat diplomacy with cruise missiles.

Considering that many of these transnational corporations profiting from the invasion and occupation are the run by the same people who foot the bill the Mr. Bush's resistible rise to power, we might well regard the war against Iraq to be the most grotesque campaign finance scandal in history.

6. The real scandal is the Saudi-Bin Laden and Saudi-Bush connections
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 12:03 PM by Coastie for Truth
as well as the Bin Laden-Bush connections and the George W. Bush-Salam Bin Ladin business deals, all detailed in "House of Bush, House of Saud : The Secret Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties" by Craig Unger. Link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0743253396/qid=1109005155/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/103-7823000-4319830?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
and how those sordid relationships dragged us into war.

But just a shade too complex for the sheeple to follow (and doesn't involve sex)

10. Historically, if you compare with how Hitler has been judged
after his fall, I think Bush will be remembered for all those things and none of the good things he's done. Oh, excuse me, he hasn't done any good things yet, has he?

I compare him to Hitler because so far he has followed a strikingly similar path as Der Fuhrer.
